Unlock Your Imagination: Get Inspired and Unleash Your Inner Innovator

Here is the typical information I’ll get when writing a commercial for a radio client:

“Hey Mark. Found in a corner of Chatsworth Park, Heathy Lea Bed And Breakfast offers luxurious accommodation in Derbyshire’s Peak District. With stunning views across the park, the property provides free Wi-Fi and free parking. This en suite room has a TV and tea and coffee facilities.

Can you write something on that?”

I begin by putting the first Image that Pops into my mind onto Paper. This jumpstarts my creativity, allowing accents and personalities to emerge and visual scenes to take shape.

[Scene opens with a shot of the beautiful countryside in the Peak District with the sounds of birds chirping in the background. Suddenly, a man jumps into frame holding a vintage megaphone.]

Man: "Attention all nature lovers and adventure seekers! Are you tired of the same old boring hotel rooms? Well, hold onto your hiking boots, because I've got the perfect solution for you!"

[The man turns and walks towards the camera, revealing the sign for "Heathy Lea Bed & Breakfast".]

Man: "Found in a corner of Chatsworth Park, Heathy Lea Bed & Breakfast offers the ultimate blend of luxury and natural beauty! With stunning views across the park, you'll feel like you're sleeping right in the heart of nature."

[Cut to a shot of a cozy and beautifully decorated room with a tea set on the bedside table, curtains blowing in the wind, and a TV playing in the background.]

Man: "This en suite room has all the modern amenities you need to feel right at home. Free Wi-Fi to keep you connected, free parking for your adventure mobile, and a TV for those lazy nights in. And let's not forget the best part, the complimentary tea and coffee facilities, because who doesn't love a good cuppa?"

[Cut back to the man standing in front of the sign for "Heathy Lea Bed & Breakfast".]

Man: "So come on, escape the city, and treat yourself to a luxurious stay at Heathy Lea Bed & Breakfast in the beautiful Peak District. Book now and see for yourself why it's not just a room, it's an adventure!"

[Scene ends with the Heathy Lea Bed & Breakfast logo appearing on the screen with a tagline: "Where nature meets luxury".]

Then I’ll normally write a version in some dramatic form. How would this sound as a movie trailer?

[A suspenseful background score starts playing, with a slow and deep voiceover starting to speak]

Voiceover: "Do you seek adventure? Do you crave the unknown? Are you ready for the unexpected?"

[Cut to the sounds of footsteps crunching on leaves, and a shot of the entrance to Chatsworth Park, with the sign for "Heathy Lea Bed & Breakfast" barely visible in the distance.]

Voiceover: "Found in a corner of Chatsworth Park, Heathy Lea Bed & Breakfast awaits. A place where the beauty of nature meets the darkness of the unknown."

[Cut to a shot of the room, with the curtains blowing in the wind, but this time it's dark outside and the room is lit only by a small lamp, casting ominous shadows on the walls]

Voiceover: "This en suite room offers all the modern amenities you need, but beware, the luxury is only a facade. As the night falls and the wind howls, you'll be enveloped by the eerie quiet of the park."

[Cut to a shot of the view from the window, with the camera slowly zooming in on the darkness outside, the sounds of the wilderness getting louder and more intense.]

Voiceover: "With stunning views across the park, you'll be privy to the secrets of the wilderness. Secrets that should have been left buried in the past."

[Back to the man holding the megaphone, but this time his face is hidden in the shadows]

Voiceover: "So, if you dare, escape the city, and venture into the unknown. Book your stay at Heathy Lea Bed & Breakfast, where the beauty of nature meets the darkness of the unknown."

[The background score reaches a crescendo, and the voiceover ends with a haunting whisper]

Voiceover: "Welcome to the wilderness."

[The Heathy Lea Bed & Breakfast logo appears on the screen with a tagline: "Where nature meets the unknown". The background score ends abruptly, leaving the listener with an eerie silence.]

Then I’ll totally mix it up. Poetry.

Found in Chatsworth's wild embrace,

A place where nature finds its grace,

Heathy Lea Bed & Breakfast awaits,

With stunning views, no time to waste.

The room is plush, the tea is hot,

With Wi-Fi and parking, it's a sought-after spot,

But as the night creeps, the wind starts to howl,

The secrets of the wilderness become known.

With each creak of the floorboards, each rustling leaf,

The eerie quiet begins to seep,

And as you look out, the darkness takes hold,

You'll see the secrets of the wilderness untold.

So venture forth, if you dare to know,

The beauty of nature and the darkness below,

Book your stay, escape the city lights,

Welcome to Heathy Lea, where nature ignites.

Hmmm. Poetry is cool for this. Maybe I should adapt the style so it fits Chatsworth better. Maybe in the style of an old poet.

In Chatsworth's wild and rolling lands,

A bed and breakfast takes its stand,

Where Heathy Lea's doors unfurl,

With views that take the breath away, a world.

The room within is warm and bright,

With tea and coffee, a cosy sight,

And Wi-Fi and parking, all in store,

Comforts of home, forever more.

But as the night descends, the winds doth rise,

The wilderness calls, with haunting cries,

And in the silence, secrets swirl,

Of nature's power, forever more.

So come, embrace the wild and rough,

And let Heathy Lea show its stuff,

A place where nature's power doth reign,

And memories are made, in fields and rain.

Like that. Now - off piste. How would a homeless cat feel being invited into this hotel?

I was once a homeless cat, wandering the streets,

With no place to call home, no food to eat.

But then, I found a corner in Chatsworth Park,

Where Heathy Lea Bed & Breakfast had made its mark.

I sneaked inside, seeking refuge from the cold,

And was surprised to find, a tale untold.

For there, I was treated like royalty, with grace,

With soft beds, warm fire, and a smiling face.

They gave me food, and a place to rest,

And I felt at home, truly blessed.

And as I looked out, at the stunning view,

I knew, that I had found my place, anew.

For at Heathy Lea, I found love and care,

Where nature and comfort, went hand in hand, in air.

And I was grateful, for that chance encounter,

For it showed me, that kindness knows no border.

So if you're lost and alone, and in need of a place,

Take a chance, and seek out Heathy Lea's warm embrace,

For there, you'll find a sanctuary, where love doth reside,

And you'll be treated like royalty, with joy and pride.

Cool. Now let’s turn up the weird for effect. Write a rap about the hotel from the perspective of a homeless cat in the style of Eminem

Verse 1:

I was once a stray cat, out on the street,

Living life tough, never feeling complete,

But then I found a spot, in Chatsworth Park,

Heathy Lea Bed & Breakfast, where I made my mark.

Chorus:

I'm living like a king, in this luxurious space,

With views that take your breath away, no time to waste,

Comforts of home, all in store,

At Heathy Lea, I'm never feeling poor.

Verse 2:

They treated me with love, and a warm embrace,

With food and shelter, a smile on their face,

I looked out the window, at nature's grand scene,

And knew that I had found, my ultimate dream.

Chorus:

I'm living like a king, in this luxurious space,

With views that take your breath away, no time to waste,

Comforts of home, all in store,

At Heathy Lea, I'm never feeling poor.
